Usage[edit source]
Usage of this template is similar to the {{wikipedia}} template in that the link defaults to using the page name as entry. So, in the Worf article, if a link to that same entry on Memory Alpha is desired, only the template name has to be used, such as
{{malpha}}
This would produce the following link:
- [Worf at Memory Alpha, the wiki for canon Star Trek.]
If a link to another article name is desired, such as "Worf, son of Mogh", you would use:
{{malpha|Worf, son of Mogh}}
Which would result in
- [Worf, son of Mogh at Memory Alpha, the wiki for canon Star Trek.]
If a link to another article name is desired, such as "Worf, son of Mogh", but you still want to display the MA page name, the following format should be used:
{{malpha|Worf, son of Mogh|Worf}}
This would produce the link
- [Worf at Memory Alpha, the wiki for canon Star Trek.]
If you wanted to change just the displayed title while still linking to the same page name, you would use:
{{malpha||Worf, son of Mogh}}
Which would result in
- [Worf, son of Mogh at Memory Alpha, the wiki for canon Star Trek.]
