Note that the series adopted a serialized, arc form during its third and fourth seasons, with all episodes of season three (along with one season two episode and three season four episodes) being considered one long arc called the Xindi Arc. The series' fourth season also consisted primarily of two- and three-episode story arcs, most of which are listed above.
Star Trek: Discovery[edit | edit source]
Special narratives[edit | edit source]
Some shows picked up stories left by other ones, an example of this is "The Price" (TNG) and "False Profits" (Voyager).
Another type of episode connection is when an actor-character combination that were on one show appear on another. An example of this is "Unification" a TNG Duology that featured Spock played by Leonard Nimoy of the original Star Trek.
It was common for Character story arcs to cut across the different shows, and an example of this is the Q-character, and there were multiple cross-overs of actor-character combinations between TNG, DS9, and Voyager. In addition, story arcs were continued outside of the television shows in film in significant ways, especially when TNG transitioned from television to film.
In some cases Star Trek stories were in other forms of media that received less attention than television, such as comics and video games. For example, a story bridging the gap between Nemesis and Star Trek was released as a comic, Star Trek: Countdown.
