Sir Bron of Zarnist is a devote Agrikan and Meketa (high commander) in the Warriors of Mameka. He is the constable of Bedenes the order’s primary holding. Bron has served Horab Gerund the Akarata (grandmaster) of the Warriors for years and is unquestioningly loyal to him.

As constable of Caer Bedenes, Bron is the titular governor of Bedenes village but leaves its management to Granek, the Akarata’s most-trusted minion. He is much more concerned, some would say obsessed with, overseeing the operation of the keep and with the governance of the Emesa Hundred.

While Bedenes is Akarata Horab’s seat as Bailiff of the Hundred, the market town of Emesa remains the hundred’s judicial and economic center. The Akarata used to travel there to dispense justice but now delegates this role to Bron. This has allowed him to install a Telmen, Meran Toka, loyal to him.[1]

When he his old commander, Breen Tharo the Telmen of Scutal manor visit Bron at Bedenes, they shake their heads and agree that the order is not what it once was. When they were in their prime they took what they wanted and had the will to keep it.

During these rumination of past glories from his sixty-three-year-old friend as they struggle to see past Akarata Horab’s vision of taking Kustan for the faith, Breen also complains about Alshain Risalsin who is “not a patch on old Sedriz”, who led the Penor chapter before him. Bron patiently humors his ire by telling him that Meketa Alshain may seem a brash youngster but says many of the right things in private. Aside from being friends with Bron, Alshain is a cousin to Gerd Risalsin, the Baron of Thiri, and a friend of the Earl of Techen.

Sorirgen, the 14-year-old son of Sir Arvis Bisidril a kinght bachelor in Bedenes, is the Araharagki (squire) to Bron, and lives with him in the keep.[2]
